Wake up and put in clever leave days to get those long weekends in 2025!!

AUTUMN

Friday 21 March is Human Rights Day and a public holiday and you can enjoy a nice extra-long long weekend if you take leave on Thursday 20 March.

Easter weekend will be celebrated next. Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April are public holidays and therefore this Easter weekend is four days without giving up any leave!

Workers' Day falls on Thursday 1st May and if you take advantage of a day off on Friday the 2nd of May, you can enjoy a long weekend of four days!

WINTER

Youth Day falls on Monday 16 June this year and you therefore have a three-day weekend without giving up any leave, so we suggest taking just one day off before or after the weekend to double your weekend!

SPRING

Heritage Day (or Braai Day) on Wednesday 24 September is the last public holiday for a while. You can choose whether you want to take your two days of leave on the Monday and Tuesday or the Thursday and Friday to make your working week extra short.

SUMMER

December's first holiday, Reconciliation Day, is Tuesday 16 December and if you are not yet on holiday, you can at least enjoy a four-day long weekend if you take the 15th leave on Monday. This holiday also falls during the school holidays.

Christmas Day is on Thursday 25 December and Friday 26 December is Goodwill Day and also a holiday. You can then take a leave of absence on December 22, 23, and 24 to take a nine-day vacation!
